Ok, I’ve been going through tons of shows while at home. I know its not just me. Hubs and I love to lay down after dinner and binge 1 (or 3) episodes of what we’re currently watching. I’m the type of person that is all in when I watch a show. I can’t go to sleep until I see the end. My husband on the other hand. If I have to watch another episode multiple times because he snoozes off… but that’s besides the point. I’ve put together a list of some of our favorite Shows to Binge While You’re Home.
If you know me, you probably know by now that I love me some crime TV. Give me all the investigations, documentaries, etc. Here are some Netflix shows we’ve watched and loved:
YOU – moody, dark, intense, interesting. GREAT show! A dangerously charming, intensely obsessive young man goes to extreme measures to insert himself into the lives of those he is transfixed by.
Bloodline – probably my all time favorite. When the black sheep son of a respected family threatens to expose dark secrets from their past, sibling loyalties are put to the test.
Tiger King – (lol, duh) because Carol Baskin did it. If you know, you know. A zoo owner spirals out of control amid a cast of eccentric characters in this true murder-for-hire story from the underworld of big cat breeding.
The Stranger – mystery series that I really liked! When a stranger makes a shocking claim about his wife, family man Adam Price becomes entangled in a mystery as he desperately searches for answers.
Breaking Bad – we were late to this game but absolutely LOVED binging this one. A high school chemistry teacher dying of cancer teams with a former student to secure his family’s future by manufacturing and selling crystal meth.
Love Is Blind – (had to do it!). Nick and Vanessa Lachey host this social experiment where single men and women look for love and get engaged, all before meeting in person.
Dead to Me – (Season 2 released!) A hotheaded widow searching for the hit-and-run driver who mowed down her husband befriends an eccentric optimist who isn’t quite what she seems.
Dexter – Hubs and I just started binging this series (late, I know) and I’m so v into it. By day, mild-mannered Dexter is a blood-splatter analyst for the Miami police. But at night, he is a serial killer who only targets other murderers.
New Girl – for good easy watching + a good laugh. Still rebounding from a breakup, Jessica Day moves in with three single guys, all of whom are ready to help her understand the ways of the world.
The Haunting of Hill House – scary! Flashing between past and present, a fractured family confronts haunting memories of their old home and the terrifying events that drove them from it.
Ozark – one of our all time favorites! A financial adviser drags his family from Chicago to the Missouri Ozarks, where he must launder $500 million in five years to appease a drug boss.
Killer inside : the mind of Aaron Hernandez – documentary. Via interviews with friends, players and insiders, this docuseries examines how Aaron Hernandez went from an NFL star to a convicted killer.
Hart Of Dixie – light hearted + girly. Fast-talking city girl Zoe Hart winds up patching up the locals of a tiny town in the Deep South when she inherits a medical practice in Alabama.
Making a Murderer – is he innocent? My vote is yes! Filmed over 13 years, this real-life thriller follows the unprecedented story of two men accused of a grisly crime they may not have committed.
The Sinner – 2 seasons. When a chilling murder sends shockwaves through a small town, a haunted detective’s hunt for answers unravels a web of sinister secrets.
Fuller House – easy family watching! Brings me back to my younger days. The Tanner family’s adventures continue as DJ Tanner-Fuller shares a home with her sister Stephanie and friend Kimmy who help raise her three boys.
Outer Banks – new release! Hubs thought this one was a little cheesy but I’m into it. On an island of haves and have-nots, teen John B enlists his three best friends to hunt for a legendary treasure linked to his father’s disappearance.
Waco – When federal authorities attempt to seize a religious compound, a standoff with its self-proclaimed leader and his followers ensues.
JUST started using our prime membership to watch TV shows. We have been missing out! So far, we are loving:
Hunters – Inspired by true events, HUNTERS follows a diverse band of Nazi Hunters in 1977 New York City who discover that hundreds of escaped Nazis are living in America. And so, they do what any bad-*** vigilante would do: they set out on a bloody quest for revenge and justice. But they soon discover a far-reaching conspiracy and must race against time to thwart the Nazis’ new genocidal plans.
One of my favorite times of the day is laying on the sofa or hopping in the bed with hubs + pups and watching our current binge worthy show. What are some of your favorites that we need to watch next? Drop all your recs below and I’ll add them to the list!
