Let’s get to know the girl behind this blog. 

I’m Megan. Some call me Meg, Megz, Mayor Gribble – I’ll answer to it all.

I was raised in Georgia, North Carolina, Alabama and Florida. Being able to live in different states and experience different areas and people definitely shaped who I am today. I grew up with both parents being entrepreneurs. Business was around me every single day. My dad created a successful telecommunications firm and my mom is an interior designer (so check our her biz that I worked for for years – Decor 2 Ur Door). I’m so grateful to be able to experience what it is to be an entrepreneur from such a young age. I definitely attribute that to learning my true calling – Real Estate + Interior Design.

 I would say I bring a youthful enthusiasm and trendy spirit to the home design + real estate world. With dual degrees in Hospitality Management and Entrepreneurship from Florida State University (GO NOLES!), I began my career planning luxury Palm Beach events – letting my creative side blossom. After some time in the event industry, I decided to spread my wings and enter the Interior Design industry. I absolutely love being able to transform a room into something that makes you feel warm and inspired and at home. After all, that’s the point right? 

It all started when I used my creative talents to transform my very own first home into a “modern farmhouse with an eclectic desert twist” home. I live for organic, earthy tones and textures in home decor (as you can see through my branding and socials). Shea McGee would be so proud! I get it from my momma. I grew up watching my mom turn a room into magical oasis. She was constantly remodeling or “sprucing” up our home along the way. I have to say, I definitely got the “design bug” from her – sorry hubs! I joined Decor 2 Ur Door interior design firm (created by my mom over 18 ears ago), specializing in custom dorm, teen, home, apartment, and baby bedding in 2014. We curated rooms from top to bottom – all online – and custom made all items locally in the magical USA!  It brought me such joy to be able to support the local community while creating beautiful spaces at the same time. I served as Senior Designer and President where I ran the business in its entirety while my dad was sick (he’s great now, PRAISE!). I learned interior design, how to create websites, marketing, advertising, budgeting, client relations – the whole nine. 

In 2018, I decided to combine my talents in interior design with my passion for all things real estate. I wanted to bring this industry something new, something fresh, and something innovative. My main goal is to being authenticity to the real estate industry. It is my job to be raw, helpful, and provide the upmost knowledge and guidance to my clients. Truly, for someone like me – real estate and interior design go hand in hand. I have an uncanny ability to see the potential in a space. Whether it’s being able to give ideas of how to make a home completely yours, give advice on staging your home for selling, or actual interior design services on you new home – I got cha’ covered.
